The Application Pack can be downloaded from You will not be able to complete your application form online. Applications must be submitted in hard copy format.

Youth 19 is a year dedicated to young people aged 12-24 years.

There are three key themes within Youth 19:

  • Promote positive Health and Wellbeing;
  • Engagement and participation of young people;
  • Develop skills and create clear career pathways.

Cross cutting across all themes:

  • Access and Inclusion;
  • Marketing, publicity and cultural programming;
  • Youth Recognition.

Co-design will be essential to programming throughout Youth 19. Ensuring that young people in the Derry City and Strabane District are active participants in the development of the activities, programmes and events.

For each month throughout 2019 there will be an event specifically designed to secure youth engagement and participation. In some instances, these events will feature as part of an existing festival programme with an added youth focus.

For the remainder council is seeking applications for new and unique Golden Events, or existing events with a youth focus, which can demonstrate ‘added value’ as a result of the additional funds to feature as part of the Youth 19 programme.
